Seperti yang telah diprediksi, "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" mendominasi ajang penghargaan Teen Choice Awards 2011 bidang film. Film ini berhasil masuk dalam 12 nominasi termasuk kategori Fantasi/Sci-fi Actor (Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner) dan Fantasy/Sci-fi actress (Kristen Stewart).
Selain itu, Kristen juga masuk dalam nominasi Choice Movie: Liplock dengan Robert dan Taylor. Nominasi lain yang berhasil diperoleh adalah Choice Movie Villain (Bryce Dallas Howard), Choice Movie: Scene Stealer Male (Kellan Lutz) dan Choice Movie: Scene Stealer Female (Ashley Greene).
Untuk film aksi, nominasi terbanyak didapat film arahan sutradara Justin Lin, "Fast Five". Sementara film komedi, "Bad Teacher" dan "Bridesmaids" bersaing ketat dengan perolehan tiga nominasi. Sama halnya dengan komedi, nominasi drama juga didominasi dua film yakni "Water for Elephants" dan "The Roommates". Persaingan super ketat terjadi di genre film komedi romantis yang diperebutkan empat film, "No Strings Attached", "Just Go with It", "Something Borrowed" dan "Easy A".
Teen Choice Awards 2011 akan digelar Minggu 7 Agustus dan disiarkan langsung stasiun TV Fox. Voting pemenang telah dibuka di situs resmi mulai Rabu 29 Juni. Sejauh ini belum diumumkan nama pemandu acara untuk Teen Choice Awards 2011. Sebelumnya, ajang tahun lalu dipandu oleh Katy Perry.
Teen Choice Awards ini telah lama digelar sejak 1999. Ajang tersebut memberikan penghargaan untuk bidang mode, musik, film, olahraga, televisi dan kategori umum lainnya berdasarkan voting para remaja di kisaran usia 13 hingga 19 tahun.
